Think the Impossible

New year, new you right? Well how about we start thinking about the impossible. Change your mindset and go beyond what is realistic, and think instead of the impossible!

It might be scary at first but think of all the new ideas that may come out of it and the goals you could accomplish. Write them down (as always)

The more impossible the better!

Happy thinking!

Spark Creativity!

Creativity: the use of imagination or original ideas.

Take risks, think in a way that’s outside the box! I wanted to look into how someone can spark more creativity in their life, and came across a very interesting article. 10 Psychological Tricks That Will Boost Your Creativity. In this article they discuss how you have to seek out things that inspire you, rather than waiting for something inspirational to happen.

I personally loved all of the tips mentioned, and will be sure to try and introduce them into my own life. Creativity is endless! We just have to find the right recipes for ourselves to keep our creativity flowing!

Put Your Heart in Everything You Do

We love an inspirational moment here at the Write Nook, especially on Monday’s. Every now and then we all need to remind ourselves that we have it in us! To do whatever we want to do!

As you are reading this I urge you to share it with someone who might need to be reminded. I love creating these posts for you all because they become a great reminder to me. This is me showing my heart. I am slowly determining my fate with everything I do, and so are you.

So happy Monday! And remember no matter how big or small you are determining your fate with each action, so make them count!

Be A Rainbow!

On Monday’s we like to provide you all with something a little more uplifting and motivating. What a better way to kick off the beginning of the week than with an inspiration quote or something to keep you going!

No matter where you are in the world, everyone can use some positivity!

Today our inspiration comes from the great Maya Angelow. “Be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud” When you see negativity, choose to be positive! Slowly start to incorporate these mantras into your life and see the outcome!

Choose to be a rainbow!

Set Goals That Excite You!

I don’t know about you but when I’m excited about anything I put my whole self into doing it. Almost to a point of obsession, I devote myself to that task. For example, bullet journaling. I told myself that I wanted to bullet journal so I made sure I had the perfect one and the prettiest markers and I was going to bullet journal every day!

It was something that I knew would make me happy and I was excited to start my day journaling. You need to find that goal. Something where you wake up and that is the first thing you want to try and accomplish for the day. It could be working out, listening to 30 minutes of an audiobook, or jotting down new book ideas. Basically anything that won’t give you the mentality of ‘oh, I’ll just do it later.”

Your goals are waiting to be reached! And we want to help you get there! Follow us for more Monday motivation on here, Instagram and Facebook!

Happy Monday!

Go With The Flow!

Our number one tip for all writers is…to write! Who would have thought! But in all seriousness the best thing for you to do is write no matter what. You are not being judged, and nothing is a bad idea. It is simply the best way to spread your ideas on the page and rummage through your own mind. And remember flow is flow!

Happy Writing!

Monday Motivation

Our biggest advice to writers is simply to write. As elementary as that sounds it is the best way to warm up your brain. Just as athletes need to get warmed up before a game or even practise we encourage writers to write freely before thinking about their next chapter or book they want to start.

You need to fill the page with as many ideas and thoughts as possible in order to find the best ones!

Happy writing!

How to Warm Up Your Writing Brain

Transcribe your thoughts to words faster by prepping your brain to prepare for writing. The purpose is not to create publishable material, but to get yourself ready for it!

The best way to start is to have no judgement or expectation of the outcome. You are writing to write more, which in turn will lead to writing better!

Write more —-> write better —-> write more

It is a beautiful circle of writing!

Now, in terms of the warm ups there are millions of prepared prompts and questions that you can search with a click of a button. Some other things you can do are write letters, write comments back to your viewers, or write about your life!

What do you do to warm up your writer’s brain? Share your favorites in the comments!

Let’s Talk Vision Boards!

Who wouldn’t love a fun arts and crafts project that will also help you achieve your goals? Increase your motivation, confidence, and performance with the help of an awesome vision board! Celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon and Oprah will surely back this up.

First and foremost, do some self reflection and see what matters to you most and then go from there. Then, think about if you want it to be digital or print. Print is pretty straight forward, grab some scrap cardboard or construction paper and browse the internet or magazines for pictures or any sort of clippings you like! For digital, my favorite tool is canva. A website that can do everything and more when it comes to digital art. To start, choose the dimensions you want and they have a ton of free photos for you to add along with text of your choice, or you can search for photos and paste them right on!

The best part…it’s completely customizable! If you want inspiration for your new novel pop on some pictures or quotes about what you’re envisioning for your story. Your story will come to life before your eyes and should make the writing process a bit easier- at least to start!

Here is a board I created on canva using pinterest photos! I set it as my screensaver just to make me smile. This is more of a life mood board which you can create as well!

Here are some more vision boards for inspiration…

Put it somewhere you will see it everyday as a helpful reminder!
